The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency will hold a public comment period to solicit public input on the following proposed curb zone changes. For more information on the curb zone change process please visit this webpage.

Proposed Changes

1. Clement Street between 19th Avenue and 18th Avenue – Establishing a General Loading Zone

ESTABLISH – GENERAL LOADING ZONE, 5-MINUTE LIMIT, 8AM TO 7PM, MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

1744 Clement Street, north side, from 37 feet to 48 feet east of 19th Avenue (11-foot zone), Richmond, Supervisor District 1, Curb Access, ccp@sfmta.com.

Per the request of a dry cleaner, the proposed general loading zone would provide space for customers to pick up and drop off clothing.

2. Fulton Street between 8th Avenue and 9th Avenue – Establishing a Passenger Loading Zone

ESTABLISH – WHITE ZONE, PASSSENGER LOADING 5-MINUTE LIMIT, 9AM TO 5PM, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

3220 Fulton Street, north side, from 120 feet to 142 feet west of 8th Avenue (22-foot zone), Richmond, Supervisor District 1, Curb Access, ccp@sfmta.com.

The proposed passenger loading zone would serve San Francisco Village, a non-profit organization providing services to seniors.

3. Lyon Street between Greenwich Street and Lombard Street – Establishing a General Loading Zone

ESTABLISH – GENERAL LOADING ZONE, 5-MINUTE LIMIT, 8AM TO 7PM, DAILY

2942 Lyon Street, east side, from 59 feet (edge of driveway) to 71 feet south of Lombard Street (12-foot zone), Marina, Supervisor District 2, Curb Access, ccp@sfmta.com.

A coffee shop is requesting a general loading zone for customer pickups.

4. Pierce Street between Bush Street and Sutter Street – Establishing a Commercial Loading Zone

ESTABLISH – YELLOW ZONE, COMMERICAL LOADING, 30-MINUTE LIMIT, 9AM TO 5PM, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

“1739” Pierce Street, west side, from 0 feet to 40 feet south of Bush Street (40-foot zone), Pacific Heights, Supervisor District 2, Curb Access, ccp@sfmta.com.

The proposed commercial loading zone would provide spaces for deliveries to an autobody shop.

5. Mason Street between Jefferson Street and Beach Street – Relocating and Extending a Commercial Loading Zone and Tour Bus Loading Zone

5d) ESTABLISH – TOUR BUS LOADING, 20-MINUTE TIME LIMIT, 7 AM TO 7 PM, DAILY

To reduce double parking and the encroachment of tour buses into daylighting at Jefferson Street, an existing commercial loading zone would be relocated so that the existing tour bus loading zone could be extended.

6. Greenwich Street at the Eastern Terminus – Establishing a Passenger Loading Zone

ESTABLISH – WHITE ZONE, PASSSENGER LOADING, 5-MINUTE LIMIT, 3PM TO MIDNIGHT, DAILY

A historic restaurant is reopening and has requested to reinstate the previous passenger loading.

7. Columbus Avenue and Powell Street – Relocating a Blue Zone and Establishing Daylighting

Proposal to relocate a blue zone and remove a metered parking space to establish daylighting as required under Assembly Bill 413.

8. Sutter Street between Stockton Street and Grant Street – Establishing a Commercial Loading Zone and a General Loading Zone

A taxi zone would be relocated to Stockton Street to better serve nearby hotels. Commercial loading and a new general loading zone would be established per the request of a commercial business to provide space for customer pickups.

9. Stockton Street between Sutter Street and Campton Place – Establishing a Taxi Zone

A taxi zone would be relocated from Sutter Street to Stockton Street to better serve nearby hotels.

10. Larkin Street between McAllister Street and Golden Gate Avenue – Establishing Accessible Parking

This proposal would establish a blue zone on the newly legislated metered parking block to comply with federal PROWAG requirements

11. Heron Street between 8th Street and Berwick Place – Establishing a Commercial Loading Zone

12. Valencia Street between 14th Street and Duboce Avenue – Changing the Hours and Days of a Passenger Loading Zone

Per the request of the sponsoring church this proposal would change the hours and days of an existing passenger loading zone to meet their new programming schedule.

13. Shotwell Street between 18th Street and 17th Street – Shifting a Passenger Loading Zone and Establishing Accessible Parking

Results

The changes below have been approved or withdrawn for further evaluation. Items forwarded for implementation by directive constitute a Final SFMTA Decision. Final SFMTA Decisions, whether made by the City Traffic Engineer or the SFMTA Board, can be reviewed by the Board of Supervisors pursuant to Ordinance 127-18.
