There are so many free and exciting summer series happening downtown this summer, and we’re here to help you explore them.
Our partners at the Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD) are co-sponsoring new and much-loved event series from Mid-Market to the Financial District. Admission is free at each one, and they’re all just a Muni ride away!

MINTEDSF: Friday night Happy Hour experiences
When: Every Friday from July 4 to Sept. 19 -- 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: Mint Plaza – Near 5th and Stevenson streets
The details: This free, all-ages celebration brings people together all summer long in San Francisco’s historic Mint Plaza. (Your pets are welcome, too!)
Enjoy a vibrant, open-air dance floor and beats from Bay Area DJs. And you can try all kinds of eats from featured local restaurants. Check out this MINTEDSF event webpage for details.
How to get there: You can take any Muni Metro line to Powell Station. Or, you can ride the 14 Mission or 14R Mission Rapid to Mission & 5th. You can also take the 5R Fulton Rapid, 7 Haight/Noriega, 9R San Bruno Rapid or F Market & Wharves to 5th and Market streets.

You can hop on Muni or your bike to enjoy music, eats and drinks at UNSTAGED.
UNSTAGED: Live on Mid-Market
When: July 17, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: Mid-Market Entertainment Zone – Market Street between 5th and 6th streets
The details: UNSTAGED is a free, interactive event that brings performances, installations and all kinds of great eats to the Mid-Market Entertainment Zone. In this special zone, you can purchase drinks at local bars and restaurants and enjoy them outside.
UNSTAGED is also a great opportunity to support Bay Area artists and business owners in our world-class arts and entertainment district. Through a mix of funding, UNSTAGED creates paid opportunities for over 50 local artists and performances.

Fridays on Front Street: Bar-Forward Block Party Series
When: Select Fridays - July 18, Aug. 22 and Oct. 10
Where: Front Street Entertainment Zone – Front Street between California and Sacramento streets
The details: Fridays on Front Street is a lively block party where attendees who are 21 or older can drink in the streets, dance to live music and play games with friends and coworkers. Admission to the entertainment zone is free!
Explore a rotating selection of food pop-ups, special themed cocktails at local bars and a range of talented local DJs. Check the Downtown SF Partnership calendar website or Eventbrite for details as dates grow closer.
How to get there: You can ride any Muni Metro line to Embarcadero Station and take a short walk to Front Street. You can also take the 12 Folsom/Pacific or 1 California.

The Bhangra and Beats Night Market is a free, all-ages event where you can dance, dine and shop.
Bhangra and Beats Night Market
When: Friday, July 25 and Friday, Oct. 24 – 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Where: Front and Sacramento streets
The details: Bhangra and Beats is back! Dance to a mix of South Asian Bhangra music and popular Bay Area genres at this free, all-ages event. You can also explore unique Indian Street food and try all kinds of Bay Area food trucks. Open-air bars also feature a mix of drinks and cocktails.
Plus, you can shop for jewelry, apparel, art and more with 30 retail vendors participating in the event.
How to get there: You can take any Muni Metro line to Embarcadero Station and take a short walk to Front Street. You can also take the 12 Folsom/Pacific or 1 California.
