This weekend, Sunday Streets returns to transform San Francisco’s neighborhoods into vibrant, car-free community spaces.

The series kicks off Sunday in the Tenderloin:

  • When: June 15, 12 to 4 p.m.
  • Where: Golden Gate Avenue between Hyde and Jones streets

From June through October, Livable City, in partnership with the SFMTA and other city agencies, will host six Sunday Streets events.  And you won’t want to miss the fifth annual Phoenix Day — a citywide celebration of connection, safety and public space.

Join us for a season of joy and connection

This year’s theme, Safe Streets, Shared Joy, underscores the power of public space to bring people together. Sunday Streets offers a welcoming, unifying experience that celebrates San Francisco’s diverse communities.

Each event turns neighborhood streets into hubs of activity. They feature live music, cultural performances, wellness resources and local vendors.

We’re excited to join you in these vibrant spaces. Our staff will be on site to share updates on transit projects, street safety and sustainable travel options.

At this weekend’s event in the Tenderloin, our staff will share information about:

Powered by partnerships

Sunday Streets is a true citywide collaboration. It’s made possible by neighbors, volunteers and partnerships across city agencies. This includes partnerships between our agency, SFDPH, Public Works, Recreation & Parks and the Mayor’s Office. This work also reflects support from community sponsors like API Cultural Center and the United States of Asian America Festival, St. Anthony Foundation, GLIDE and others.
