Celebrate Transit Week in SF, Sept. 25 – Oct. 1

Next week, join us in participating in transit week, “a celebration of public transit and all those who ride it.” The annual event, led by the organization SF Transit Riders, is sponsored by the SFMTA and other local partners.

Throughout the week, SF Transit Riders encourages you to post on social media about your ride on Muni and other transit systems. “Use the hashtag #WhyIRide to share your story – and share why transit matters to you and how we can make it better.”

SFTR will host fun transit events throughout the week:

We’ll be out at the kick-off event on Monday, where SFMTA Director of Transportation Ed Reiskin will speak about the importance of public transit with other city leaders on the steps of City Hall. We’ll also be out at a streetside outreach hub on mid-Market Street, Wednesday evening rush hour, and at Sunday Streets in the Excelsior with transit-related kids’ activities.
