The SFMTA Board of Directors provides policy oversight for the safe and efficient transportation of goods and service in San Francisco. This includes the San Francisco Municipal Railway (Muni), automobiles and trucks, taxis, bicycling and walking. The SFMTA Board of Directors also serves as members of the San Francisco Parking Authority.

Our board of directors meeting is usually held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. The agenda for the first meeting of the month includes presentations and discussion on a new Class II Bike Facility on 20th Avenue, Replacement of Manual Trolley Switch System and the ConnectSF program’s Transit Corridors Study.

Stop by our second Open House to learn more about Better Market Street, the City's multi-agency proposal to transform 2.2 miles of Market Street - from Steuart Street to Octavia Boulevard.

Project team members from San Francisco Public Works, San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency and SF Planning will be on hand to discuss the project design, as well as key topics:

  • The first phase of the project - Market Street between Fifth and Eighth streets - scheduled to break ground in 2020
  • A design alternative for Market Street, between Hayes and Gough streets
  • Commercial loading
  • Transit stops

Stationless Bikeshare Permit Application - Q & A Session

The SFMTA will hold a Question and Answer Session for the permit application on Friday, June 7, 2019, 1 p.m. Questions should be submitted in writing by 5 p.m. on June 5, 2019, to bikeshare@sfmta.com. Only clarifying questions will be allowed during the session. All questions and answers will be posted online and distributed to the attendees following the session. No other questions will be considered after this session.
