Join us Thursday, Jan. 15 from 5 p.m. to 7p.m. to celebrate the opening of a new photo exhibit at City Hall.

Moving San Francisco: Views from the SFMTA Photo Archive 1903-Now is a collaboration between the SFMTA Photo Archive and the San Francisco Arts Commission. The photos in this show highlight our city’s transportation system over the past 120 years.

Exhibit and public programs

Moving San Francisco will run from Thursday, Jan. 15 to Thursday, June 18. The images are on view in the North Light Court and on the ground floor at City Hall. See photos of the people, places and vehicles that make our city move. From cable cars to buses and light rail vehicles, public transit has always been a vital part San Francisco.

During the five-month run, there will be a number of special events to participate in. You can stop by for monthly gallery talks and a zine-making workshop with the artists behind the Muni Raised Me exhibition. You can also play transit trivia with Muni Diaries, and drop in for a panel discussion. Visit the SFAC Galleries webpage for the latest information on the events.
