The Navy Band Southwest-Brass Band will perform at Jane Warner Plaza on Thursday, October 8, starting at 5 p.m.
Lillie Coit's will be celebrating its official grand opening from Thursday through Sunday, October 8-11. Continue reading below for information regarding street closures and Muni service changes over the course of those four days.
Weekend events for the U.S. Navy Fleet Week begin Friday with a Parade of Ships at 11 a.m. and an Air Show on Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 12 noon to 4 p.m. Ships will be docked at various piers and are available for visits from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Muni will provide extra service along the northern and eastern waterfront. The F Market & Wharves historic streetcars will switchback at Pier 39.
Hayes Street will be closed every Friday and Saturday for the remainder of this month for the Hayes Valley Farmers Market & Shared Spaces event. During the street closure, Muni will reroute the 6 Hayes/Parnassus Route around the area.
Larkin Street between Eddy and O'Farrell will be closed this Saturday, October 10, for a Shared Spaces event. Muni's 19 Polk will reroute around the event area. Larkin Shared Spaces provides outdoor space for a community festival with music, arts, and games. This event will reoccur every second Saturday of each month.
The Italian Heritage Parade will take place in the North Beach and Russian Hill neighborhoods on Sunday, October 11. The parade will begin at 12:30 p.m. SFPD will close streets as early as 7:30 a.m. and Muni will reroute around the formation areas and the parade route. Service will return to normal after the streets are clear.
