Overnight Maintenance Along the T Third

SFMTA is developing an ongoing maintenance program for the T Third Line to build on the work completed during the Fix It! weekends. The program will establish a regular schedule for inspecting, cleaning, and maintaining platforms, transit shelters, gates, rail infrastructure, and other passenger amenities to help keep the corridor in a state of good repair and address maintenance needs before they become larger issues.

Work is tentatively scheduled from September through October 2026 and will take place from midnight to 5 a.m., to minimize impacts on riders and the surrounding community.

Crews will perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and facility improvements as part of SFMTA’s ongoing efforts to keep Muni facilities clean, safe, and in good condition. Owl service will not be affected, and access to businesses and residences will be maintained throughout the work.  Access to businesses, residences, driveways and building entrances will be maintained. Overnight Owl service will not be impacted.

The Sunnydale platform is currently scheduled for maintenance on September 15, 2026.
