The Interdepartmental Staff Committee on Traffic and Transportation (ISCOTT) is the body responsible for reviewing and permitting larger street closures or those impacting transit services. The SFMTA is charged with managing the committee and chairing public hearings.

ISCOTT is chaired by the SFMTA and is composed of representatives from the following agencies: Municipal Transportation Agency, Public Works, Police, Fire, Entertainment Commission, Public Health and Planning.
