When you head out for a match, you'll spot the iconic Muni ”worm” logo on SFCFC jerseys.
The 2026 San Francisco City Football Club (SFCFC) season is almost here — and there’s more to celebrate than just soccer.
SFCFC is the country’s first — and San Francisco’s only — supporter-owned soccer club. This weekend, it returns with fresh energy, a full home schedule and a continued partnership with Muni.
The season kicks off Sunday, May 3 with Muni Appreciation Day. This special match celebrates the riders and employees who help keep San Francisco moving.
Whether you're a longtime supporter or a first-time fan, this summer is your chance to be part of the passion and pride of local soccer.
While professional soccer takes the global stage this year at the FIFA World Cup 2026™, fans can also support the game right here at home. SFCFC matches offer a fun, affordable way to connect with the community — and Muni makes it easy to get there.
Kick off the season with Muni Appreciation Day
SF City Football Club season 2026 is kicking off with Muni Appreciation Day, on Sunday May 3.
Join us on Sunday, May 3, as SFCFC takes on San Juan at Cox Stadium at San Francisco State University.
For this special Muni Appreciation Day season opener, we encourage you to wear anything Muni-themed!
Event highlights include:
- Local food and drink vendors
- A lively, family-friendly crowd
- Limited Muni-themed giveaways
It’s the perfect way to start the season — with soccer, community and a shared love for San Francisco.
A club built by the community
San Francisco City FC is more than a soccer team — it’s part of the community. Founded in 2015, SFCFC is the country’s first supporter-owned soccer club. That means fans help shape the team.
Many players are students from nearby colleges, and supporters bring energy and pride to every match. Fans sing, wave flags and cheer together, creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere. You might even hear the crowd singing “When the fog comes rolling in.” This chant is a fan favorite inspired by San Francisco’s signature weather.
Home game highlights
Catch SFCFC in action throughout May, June and July. They’ll play at Cox Stadium and Kezar Stadium in San Francisco and El Camino High School in South San Francisco.
