Van Ness Avenue Construction Forecast: September 4 - September 14, 2018

The following Van Ness Improvement Project construction forecast is subject to change. For more project details, please visit SFMTA.com/VanNess.

The night shift for construction is scheduled between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. During this time, neighbors are advised to anticipate construction-related noise and vibrations as crews work diligently to complete necessary night work.

Tentative Schedule:

Lombard to Greenwich: Tuesday through Friday, September 4 through September 7, crews are scheduled to work on sewer and water main installation. Disruptive noise is expected. Monday through Friday, September 10 through September 14, crews are scheduled to pothole for upcoming work.

Greenwich to Filbert: Tuesday through Friday, September 4 through September 7, crews are scheduled to work on water main installation. Monday through Friday, September 10 through September 14, crews are scheduled to work on sidewalk replacement.

Filbert to Union: Monday through Friday, September 10 through September 14, crews are scheduled to work on sidewalk replacement and water main installation.

Union to Green: Tuesday through Friday, September 4 through September 7, and Monday through Friday, September 10 through September 14, crews are scheduled to pothole for upcoming work and to work on sidewalk replacement.

Green to Vallejo: Tuesday through Friday, September 4 through September 7, and Monday through Friday, September 10 through September 14, crews are scheduled to work on sidewalk replacement.

Jackson to Washington: Tuesday through Friday, September 4 through September 7, and Monday through Friday, September 10 through September 14, crews are scheduled to work on sewer main installation. Intensive noise and vibration is expected.

California: Tuesday through Friday, September 4 through September 7, crews are scheduled to work on sewer main installation. Intensive noise and vibration is expected.

Pine to Bush: Monday through Friday, September 10 through September 14, crews are scheduled to work on sewer main installation. Intensive noise and vibration is expected.

Bush to Sutter: Monday through Friday, September 10 through September 14, crews are scheduled to work on sewer main installation. Intensive noise and vibration is expected.

Sutter to Post: Tuesday through Friday, September 4 through September 7, crews are scheduled to work on water main installation. Monday through Friday, September 10 through September 14, crews are scheduled to work on sewer and water main installation. Intensive noise and vibration is expected. Wednesday, September 12, crews are also scheduled to work on permitted sidewalk tree stump removal.

Post to Geary: Tuesday through Friday, September 4 through September 7, crews are scheduled to work on water main installation. Monday through Friday, September 10 through September 14, crews are scheduled to work on water main installation and to perform streetlight work.

Geary to O'Farrell: Tuesday through Friday, September 4 through September 7, and Monday through Friday, September 10 through September 14, crews are scheduled to work on water main installation and to install a join-utility trench.

Night work is scheduled Tuesday through Friday, September 4 through September 7, and Monday through Friday, September 10 through September 14, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., when crews are scheduled to work on updating the emergency firefighting system. Disruptive noise is expected and access to Myrtle street from the west side of Van Ness Avenue might be limited.

O'Farrell to Ellis: Tuesday through Friday, September 4 through September 7, and Monday through Friday, September 10 through September 14, crews are scheduled to work on sidewalk replacement. Crews are also scheduled to install a joint-utility trench and to work on water main installation.

Ellis to Eddy: Tuesday through Friday, September 4 through September 7, and Monday through Friday, September 10 through September 14, crews are scheduled to work on sidewalk replacement. Tuesday, September 11, crews are also scheduled to work on water main installation.

Eddy to Turk: Tuesday through Friday, September 4 through September 7, and Monday through Friday, September 10 through September 14, crews are scheduled to work on sidewalk replacement. Tuesday, September 11, crews are also scheduled to work on water main installation.

Turk to Golden Gate: Tuesday, September 4, and Wednesday, September 5, crews are scheduled to install a joint-utility trench.

Golden Gate to McAllister: Tuesday, September 4, and Wednesday, September 5, crews are scheduled to work on sidewalk replacement.

McAllister to Grove: Monday through Friday, September 10 through September 14, crews are scheduled to work on sewer main installation. Intensive noise and vibration is expected.

Grove to Hayes: Monday through Friday, September 10 through September 14, crews are scheduled to work on sewer main installation and to install a joint-utility trench. Due to sewer work, intensive noise and vibration is expected.

Hayes to Fell: Tuesday through Friday, September 4 through September 7, crews are scheduled to work on sewer main installation. Intensive noise and vibration is expected. Monday through Friday, September 10 through September 14, crews are scheduled to pothole for upcoming work.

Fell to Market: Tuesday through Friday, September 4 through September 7, crews are scheduled to work on sewer main installation. Intensive noise and vibration is expected.
