Joél Ramos serves as the Local Government Affairs Manager for the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, after having served on the agency's Board of Directors from 2011-2018. As a member of the Agency’s Government Affairs team, Joél manages the engagement of the agency with each of the 11 San Francisco Supervisors. He represents the SFMTA in legislative meetings at City Hall, and at local community events. He also supports the Agency's engagement with San Francisco Supervisors through the Community Response Team, helping to develop solutions to urgent transportation challenges at the neighborhood level. His past experience includes community planning, legislative and policy analysis work with the nonprofit "TransForm", where he served for 12 years working on land use and transportation projects throughout the region. He holds a baccalaureate in Human Geography from San Francisco State University.
