Twin Peaks Tunnel Construction Delayed

Construction for the Twin Peaks Tunnel Improvement Project has been put on hold due to contract termination. No construction will begin this year. Staging areas established near West Portal and Castro Stations will be cleared out shortly. More information about the restart of the project will be released when it becomes available.

Two additional projects were scheduled to be completed concurrently with the Twin Peaks Tunnel shutdowns. The M Ocean View improvements at 19th Avenue/Junipero Serra Boulevard and the Rossmoor Drive right-of-way are anticipated to be rescheduled for fall 2017.
