Cherry Blossom Festival: April 20-21, 2019

The annual Cherry Blossom Festival will take place on the weekends of April 13-14 and April 20-21 in the Japantown area of Western Addition. Festival hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Streets will be closed and Muni may experience delays near the festival area due to crowds.

Street Closures

These streets will be closed from 4 a.m. Saturday to 11 p.m. Sunday each weekend:

  • Post, between Fillmore and Laguna
  • Webster, between Geary and Sutter
  • Buchanan, between Sutter and Bush

Muni Delays

Muni may experience delays near the festival area on the following routes:

  • 2 Sutter/Clement
  • 3 Jackson
  • 22 Fillmore
  • 38 Geary
  • 38R Geary Rapid
