Dear Taxi Industry Member:
Please be advised that a matter involving Taxis will be heard before the SFMTA Board of Directors at their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 1pm.
The proposal is to eliminate the brake inspection requirement and replace it with a 19-point inspection. The brake certificate program was ended by the Bureau of Automotive Repair and the requirement is currently suspended.
