About the School Map

The San Francisco School Map is provided by the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) to help families, students, and school staff find public transit options for getting to and from school.

The map covers 122 San Francisco public schools served by Muni, including SFUSD elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and charter schools. Each school listing includes nearby Muni bus and rail routes, School Tripper supplementary afternoon service (where available), and direct links to Google Maps transit directions.

What is School Tripper Service?

School Trippers are extra afternoon buses on existing Muni lines that begin their route at a school site, pick up students at the end of the school day (except on early dismissal days), then continue along the route as normal. This service is available at select middle and high schools.
