The Muni Goal Rush is a new citywide crawl that connects soccer fans across San Francisco from June 11 - July 19.

A new citywide crawl — the Muni Goal Rush — is coming to San Francisco! This crawl invites you to root for your favorite teams and explore the city during the FIFA World Cup 26™ SF Bay Area. From June 11- July 19, experience world-class soccer, public transit and the best of nine San Francisco neighborhoods.

With amazing prizes and the opportunity to explore, you won't want to miss out.

How to play

First, pick up a Muni Goal Rush game card. Find it at any of the participating businesses listed on the Muni Goal Rush website (SFMTA.com/GoalRush). Or print one at home starting on June 11 to get started.

Next, visit two of the following areas (fan zones):

  • Castro
  • Kezar/Upper Haight
  • North Beach/Chinatown

  • One stamp must come from a “Match HQ” business. These are go-to spots to catch the game.
  • Two stamps must come from “Hidden Gem” businesses in the area.

How to win

The goal is to collect at least six stamps across two fan zones. Then, you can enter to win through the Muni Goal Rush website. To enter, submit a photo of your completed game card.

The San Francisco Chamber of Commerce will reach out to winners every Thursday between June 18 and July 23.

Those who complete the crawl can enter for a chance to win one of six prize packages. Prize packages include an international roundtrip airline ticket, a custom Muni Goal Rush jersey, tickets to a Bay Area soccer match and a $500 Yelp gift card. Prizes are generously provided by the Muni Goal Rush sponsors.

Players must be 18 years or older to enter, and only one entry per person is allowed. For the full list of rules, check out the Muni Goal Rush website.

Vibrant Muni, vibrant city

We are thrilled to partner with the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce. Our goals? Supporting local businesses and helping people move through San Francisco with ease.

The Muni Goal Rush is a new crawl. But connecting riders to the moments, places and people they care about is what Muni does every day.

A 14R Mission Rapid approaches the decorative crosswalk at 16th and Mission streets.

Muni’s network of Rapid bus routes prioritizes frequency and reliability on our most heavily used bus lines.

In a 2025 ridership survey, we learned how people use Muni to get around:

  • 48% of riders said they rely on Muni to get to work.
  • 48% of riders said they use Muni to reach restaurants, entertainment venues and social outings.
  • 30% ride to shop at local businesses.

To help make those trips faster and more reliable, Muni is investing in improvements across the system. Since 2020, Muni Forward has delivered more than 27 miles of new or upgraded transit lanes. These dedicated transit lanes were designed to improve service and help riders move through the city. Learn more about these upgrades on the Muni Forward webpage.

Those investments are contributing to a better rider experience. Muni recently earned its highest customer satisfaction rating in 25 years. Nearly 80% of riders rated their experience as “excellent” or “good.”

We can’t wait to spend the summer with you! Muni Goal Rush is another way for residents and visitors to experience San Francisco. Enjoy neighborhoods, local businesses and world-class soccer — all connected by public transit.
