ATTN: There are only two coaches in service on the 36 right now. The third coach needed to pull back into the bus yard. Expect longer IB/OB wait times for about the next hour until we can get another coach in svc. (More: 14 in last 48 hours)

VIDEO: How to get around during the Twin Peaks closure

Wednesday, June 20, 2018

In case you haven’t heard – the Twin Peaks Tunnel will be closed for approximately two months starting June 25 for important safety upgrades and track replacement. This vital part of our transit system connects Castro Station to West Portal Station and serves over 80,000 K, L and M customers every day.

During the closure, Forest Hill and West Portal stations will be closed, the K Ingleside will travel on a shortened route, and bus service will run for the L Taraval and M Ocean View lines. Nx buses will not operate during the closure, but additional N Judah trains will be in service to keep customers moving.

Check out our new video that includes an animation to help you get around during the closure. Also, be sure to look at or print out our multilingual rider guide before your next trip.
