Wrapping Up a Busy Year

Friday, December 5, 2014

Every day more than a million people move around San Francisco. They depend on the SFMTA’s services to get where they need to go, no matter how they’re getting there.

Moving Forward, our Annual Report for fiscal year 2014, details the work we are doing improve and maintain San Francisco’s transportation network. Check it out at www.sfmta.com/2014annual.

In the past year, we have made progress in making our transportation system safer and more reliable. Initiatives like Vision Zero, Muni Forward, Transportation 2030 and the Central Subway are improving the travel experience citywide—now and for the future. Moving Forward outlines our progress on these and other projects and describes some of the key challenges we are facing as the city grows and people’s travel habits change.

The report also features community members who have participated in or benefited from the work we do, and employees who have gone above and beyond to serve San Francisco. Thanks to the hard work and advocacy of San Franciscans, Free Muni for Youth has been expanded, Dogpatch has its first playground (the Woods Mini-Park, on SFMTA property), and Propositions A and B passed, providing new funding to further improve transportation citywide.
