Celebrate the Merry Days of Muni at the Holiday Ice Rink in Union Square on Wednesday, December 3 — a festive night on the ice celebrating how Muni connects San Francisco’s people, neighborhoods, and holiday traditions.
Join us for an evening of ice skating, giveaways, and photo ops with your friends, family and transit fans like you in the heart of San Francisco downtown.
Wear Your Muni Pride
Dress in your Patchwork of the City Pullover, any Muni gear or your most creative Muni-inspired outfit for a chance to win $25 Muni store credits and Patchwork of the City Pullovers to upgrade your Muni style even more.
How to join the event
There are two ways to attend Merry Muni Skate Night:

Enter to win a free ticket
We’re giving away 300 free tickets to Muni riders—for 7 p.m. or 8:30 p.m. sessions.
Entry deadline: Tuesday, November 25 at 12 p.m. (noon)
Winners will be contacted directly with instructions and a unique code to redeem their tickets. All winners must redeem the code to secure the tickets in advance and sign the required waiver before skating.

Purchase your own ticket
If you don’t receive a giveaway ticket, you can still join us by purchasing a ticket directly from the Holiday Ice Rink in Union Square.

Getting There
Make your trip to the rink easy, festive and car-free by taking Muni. The Union Square Holiday Ice Rink is served by:
- Powell Street Muni Metro Station(J, K, L, M, and N lines)
- Union Square/Market Muni Metro Station (T lines)
- Nearby bus routes: 2, 3, 5, 8, 30, 38 and 45
- Powell-Hyde Cable Car
- Historic F Line
