Muni Service Changes Starting Saturday, April 16 & Monday, April 18, 2022

Some service changes will be taking place on Saturday, April 16 and Monday, April 18. Read below for full details. 

Changes Effective Saturday, April 16, 2022

28 19th Avenue & 91 3rd Street/19th Avenue Owl Permanent Stop Relocations

Effective Saturday, April 16, 2022, the following stops along 19th Avenue for lines 28 19th Avenue & 91 Owl will be relocated and/or converted to bus bulbs.

28 19th Avenue

Inbound (to Van Ness & North Point)

Stops relocated from the south side to north side of the respective intersections:

  • 19th Avenue & Noriega (Stop ID 13374)
  • 19th Avenue & Lawton (Stop ID 13368)
  • 19th Avenue & Judah (Stop ID 13364)

Outbound (to Daly City BART)

Stops on the west side of 19th Avenue, from Lincoln Way to Rivera Street, have been upgraded to bus bulbs. None have been relocated.
91 3rd Street/19th Avenue

Inbound (to SFSU)

Stops on the west side of 19th Avenue, from Lincoln Way to Rivera Street, have been upgraded to bus bulbs. None have been relocated.

Outbound (to West Portal)

Stops relocated from the south side to north side of the respective intersections:

  • 19th Avenue & Noriega (Stop ID 13374)
  • 19th Avenue & Lawton (Stop ID 13368)
  • 19th Avenue & Judah (Stop ID 13364

 

56 Rutland Route Extension

Starting Saturday, April 16, 2022, the 56 Rutland will be extended in the outbound direction along Mansell Street to better serve Burton High School.

New Outbound Bus Stops
  • Mansell & Hamilton, eastbound (Stop ID #15344)
  • Mansell & Somerset, eastbound (Stop ID #15351)
  • Mansell & Somerset, westbound (Stop ID #15352) 
  • Mansell & Hamilton, westbound (Stop ID #15343)

Changes Effective Monday, April 18, 2022

8AX & 8BX Bayshore Express Routes Returning

Starting Monday, April 18, 2022, service on the 8AX and 8BX Bayshore Expresses will return to service on weekdays, operating inbound from 6 a.m. until approximately 9:30 a.m. and outbound from approximately 3:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.

The 8AX Bayshore “A” Express and 8BX Bayshore "B" Express provide inbound service only in the morning and outbound service in the afternoon. Passengers traveling in the opposite direction at these times must use the 8 Bayshore.
