Our staff marched on Market Street during the San Francisco Pride Parade last year.
Pride is more than a celebration. It’s a collective statement of visibility, belonging and the right to move through the world freely and safely. And we’re here to help you be part of it.
You can count on Muni to get to events, marches and rallies across the city over Pride Weekend. That includes the 55th annual Pride Celebration, which runs Saturday, June 28 to Sunday, June 29. It’s one of the largest LGBTQ+ events in the world. More than one million people are expected to attend!
This year’s theme, “Queer Love is Resistance,” highlights LGBTQ+ love as an act of defiance—against discrimination, erasure and injustice.
As San Francisco’s public transportation agency, we are proud to be a space that connects communities and breaks down barriers to access. Learn about some of the Pride events happening this weekend – and how Muni can get you there.

Our city, together in pride
The SFMTA proudly joins the 2025 Pride Parade as part of a standing City and County of San Francisco contingent. It will be led by the Department of Public Health (DPH) in partnership with Rec & Park. New this year: San Francisco International Airport (SFO) staff will join us.
Together, this cross-agency collaboration reflects our ongoing commitment to serving San Francisco as one city—united in equity, access and community pride.
Look for our beautifully decorated vintage Muni bus, made even more vibrant with balloon artistry by local LGBTQ+ owned small business, Sparky’s Balloons. Their joyful designs help bring our contingent to life. So, when you see us on the route, give us a wave!
