Chinatown Construction

Portsmouth Square
The most critical traffic and transit impacts of the project occurred when the Kearny Street pedestrian bridge was removed. That work is now complete.

Chinatown Public Health Center
As part of the Chinatown Public Health Center Improvement Project, the Broadway Tunnels will see significant traffic impacts for approximately 14 months starting mid-August. One traffic direction at a time will be closed for approximately 7 months each, with one lane in each direction in the open bore.

Chinatown Branch Library
As part of the Chinatown Branch Library Renovation Project, traffic will be impacted on Powell Street.
