Event Summary

Weekend events for the U.S. Navy Fleet Week begin Friday with a Parade of Ships at 11 a.m. and an Air Show on Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 12 noon to 4 p.m. Ships will be docked at various piers and are available for visits from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Muni will provide extra service along the northern and eastern waterfront. The F Market & Wharves historic streetcars will switchback at Pier 39. Read below for more detailed information.

Muni Service Changes

  • On Saturday and Sunday, the F Market & Wharves historic streetcars will switchback -- changing directions from inbound to outbound -- at Pier 39.
  • On Saturday and Sunday, Powell/Mason Cable Car Line will have partial bus substitution service.
  • On Saturday, Powell/Hyde Cable Car Line will have partial bus substitution service.

Additional buses will provide service along a shortened route with a temporary terminal on Van Ness & North Point in the inbound direction and to Daly City BART in the outbound direction
