To San Francisco Taxi Drivers

Taxis are essential and can continue to operate during curfew hours. Please help us stop the spread of COVID and make travelers confident in using Taxis again. Taxi drivers MUST:

1. Sanitize your taxi before each passenger trip. Sanitizing materials are available from lot dispatcher.
2. Wear a mask at all times, especially when interacting with others. Maintain 6 feet of space.

If eating, drinking or smoking while in the SFO holding lot:

  • Move to a well ventilated part of the holding lot (for smoking, use designated area)
  • Stay as far from other people as possible and never closer than 6 feet from others
  • Use picnic tables two at a time, with a 15 minute time limit
  • Remove your mask for as short a time as possible
  • Do not remove mask inside your taxi, even when alone- this puts customers at risk

Failure to adhere to these COVID safety rules will lead to suspension of Airport pickup privileges and, in certain cases, a monetary fine.

A new taxi short app is available in the Apple and Google app stores. All taxi drivers must:
