SF Paratransit business rules generally require the rider’s signature on both printed (swiped) and manually prepared (IVR) receipts.

To minimize potential COVID-19 exposure to both drivers and riders, if a rider paying with a Paratransit debit card, including a Muni Essential Trip Card, declines to sign their receipt out of health concerns, write UTS-COVID on the signature line on behalf of the rider. For riders who are unable to sign the receipt due to their disability, continue to write UTS for unable to sign.

Be sure to always give the rider a copy of the completed receipt.

Any receipt without a valid signature, UTS-COVID or UTS on the signature line may not be reimbursed by Paratransit.
