L Taraval Improvement Project
Segment B Update – April 8 - 20, 2024

Infrastructure replacement work on sewer and water lines has been completed. The last remaining area of track installation work between 33rd and Sunset Blvd is almost complete. Construction of accessible curb ramps and handrails, barriers and pavers that are part of the boarding islands continues.

Streetbase work is expected to continue until May 10. During street base work, the block will be closed between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for cement pouring and curing on one side of the street at a time. Parking will be removed on both sides of the street and traffic detoured around the area. Area residents and merchants will receive notifications with details. We are working with the contractor to ensure that parking is released back to the public when work isn’t necessary for construction.

Starting May 6 we expect to begin repaving the entire corridor and also start the special track work at 46th Avenue.

General construction hours are Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Construction schedules are subject to change. “No Parking” signs will be posted in construction and staging areas. Construction teams may be excavating and jackhammering pavement, which may cause vibrations. Dust control and housekeeping measures are in place at active construction and staging locations.

Construction work is scheduled to be performed – April 8 - 20, 2024
