Overnight Taxi Stand at SFO Policy

Beginning on Friday, October 23, all taxi stands at SFO will be limited to two (2) taxis each during open lot (overnight) hours. If more than two taxis are present at the stand when curbside staff start work in the morning, any additional “walkover” taxis will be instructed to leave the stand immediately. Such taxis may enter the taxi lot and join the queue but will not be given preferential treatment. This change is being made due to low overnight demand and the extremely long waits for taxis arriving in the hold lots in the morning.
