SFO Updates - Overnight Construction

To San Francisco Taxi Drivers

On the mornings of Friday, July 23 (Thursday night), Tuesday July 27, Wednesday July 28 and Thursday, July 29 (Monday through Wednesday nights), the taxi stands at T1 and T2 will relocate to the inner curb during open lot hours to accommodate road work. The relocation will occur at about 12:30 before the start of open lot. You may not join these temporary taxi stands during open lot hours if 2 or more cabs are already staged there. Curbside staff will relocate the taxi stands to their normal location on the center island, starting at about 06:30. Do not stage at the center island until the relocation is completed by staff on Friday morning.

A-Card Usage

Taxi Drivers are reminded that using an A-Card at SFO is only allowed while driving a taxi and for taxi-related business purposes. Use of the a-card for any other purpose will result in financial penalties and/or other disciplinary action.

Taxi Trip Fees

Effective August 4, 2021 at 12am (midnight), the SFO Taxi Trip Fee will increase from $4.50 to $5.50. Additionally, starting at that time 100% of the fee may be passed through to customers, provided your taximeter has been updated to reflect this change. Additional guidance and specific requirements will be issued separately about this change.
