Please be advised that on Monday, Oct. 16 through Saturday, Oct. 21: The 10th Annual Lesbians Who Tech & Allies Summit event takes place in the Castro Theatre and on Castro Street.  Street closure on Castro between Market Street and 19th Street will begin on Monday, October 16.  For event details visit website

The commuter shuttle stop on Castro and 18th Street NW corner will not be accessible for the duration of the event.

SFMTA recommends the following alternative route to minimize the use of non-arterial streets as much as possible:

AM Routing from Castro Southbound

  • East on 16th St.
  • South on Dolores
  • West on 22nd
  • South on Church
  • East on 24th

PM Routing from 24th Westbound 

  • North on Church St.
  • East on 23rd St.
  • North on Dolores St.
  • West on 16th St.
  • Southwest on Market
  • North on Castro

As with any major event in the city, shuttle operators will be excused from citations for travel on restricted streets in that quadrant of the city during the event.   Shuttle operators using alternate routing will need to submit their detour request to the Salesforce platform within 24 hours pursuant to their permit conditions.
