US 101 Full Freeway Closure Feb 28 - Mar 5, 2021
TO: San Francisco International Airport Ground Transportation Providers
Caltrans will be implementing overnight closures of US 101. This is being done to allow the construction of the US 101 Express Lanes construction project. One direction of travel, either northbound or southbound, will be implemented each night.
The closure hours each night are from 11:00pm until 4:00am.
SOUTHBOUND closures will occur on the nights of Feb. 28, March 1 and March 2.
NORTHBOUND closures will occur on the nights of March 3 and March 4.
The southbound closure will be from Produce Ave to Millbrae Ave. The northbound closure will be from Millbrae Ave to San Bruno Ave. Detours to/from the Airport will be via McDonnell Road and S. Airport Blvd. Diagrams with detour routes are shown below.
Expect minor delays due to construction detours. Note that passenger demand at SFO will continue as normal during closures, and operators can continue to serve the airport.
