Daryl joined the SFMTA in 1989, rising through the ranks from Technician to Manager of Parking Meter program promoting to Streets Operation Shops Manager, with oversite Paint, Temporary Sign, Meter, and Sign Shops programs.

Throughout Daryl's career with MTA has stride to build a work environment of inclusion, with a commitment to racial equity. Over the course of his career, he's served key role as a Technology Manager supporting national award SFpark project demand responsive parking, including a citywide rollout of MTA and Port of SF smart meter technology. Oversite, +50 million annually Collection and Counting operation compliance. Implementing meter and sign fabrication maintenance unit within the parking meter program. Served as Committee Member of the Mayor's Graffiti Abatement Program.
