Members of San Francisco’s Accessible Parking Policy Advisory Committee, a stakeholder group comprised mostly of people with disabilities, will present their package of state and local policy recommendations to increase access to parking and reduce disabled parking placard misuse.

The package includes:

  1. Increase blue zones
  2. Improve enforcement of placard misuse
  3. Improve DMV oversight of placard approvals
  4. Allow jurisdictions to require placard holders to pay at the meter
  5. Direct revenue to accessibility improvements
  6. Allow jurisdictions to establish reasonable time limits for placard holders

The Muni F-line Historic Streetcar has an accessible stop in front of the event location at The Embarcadero and Washington Street.
