Happy Summer!

Construction for the Beach Street Quick-Build Project is substantially complete!

What’s New 

  • Pedestrian Safety Improvements, including upgraded crosswalks, advance limit lines, daylighting, a painted safety zone, and a new stop sign
  • Two-Way Separated Bikeway on the north side of Beach Street between Van Ness Avenue and Columbus Avenue
  • Parking and loading adjustments, including new loading zones, blue zones, and parking spaces 
  • A realigned 19 Polk bus stop in front of Aquatic Park, aligned with the bus shelter

Additional bicycle upgrades along Van Ness Avenue are anticipated to be completed in August/September.
