The following Van Ness Improvement Project construction forecast is subject to change. For more project details, please visit sfmta.com/vanness.

The night shift for construction is scheduled between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. During this time, neighbors are advised to anticipate construction-related noise and vibrations as crews work diligently to complete necessary night work.

Tentative Schedule:

Lombard to Greenwich: Monday, May 14, through Friday, May 18, and Monday, May 21, through Friday, May 25, crews are scheduled to work on water main installation. Wednesday, May 23, through Friday, May 25, crews are also scheduled to pothole for upcoming work.

Night work is scheduled Monday, May 21, through Friday, May 25, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., when crews are scheduled to work on sewer main installation. Intensive noise and vibration is expected.

Greenwich to Filbert: Monday, May 14, through Friday, May 18, crews are scheduled to work on water main installation. Monday, May 21, through Friday, May 25, crews are scheduled to work on sewer main installation. Intensive noise and vibration is expected. Monday, May 21, through Wednesday, May 23, crews are also scheduled to pothole for upcoming work.

Jackson to Washington: Night work is scheduled Monday, May 14, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., when crews are scheduled to pothole to confirm utilities for upcoming sewer work. Night work is scheduled Thursday, May 17, through Friday, May 18, and Monday, May 21, through Wednesday, May 23, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., when crews are scheduled to prepare the area for upcoming sewer work.

Clay to Sacramento: Night work is scheduled Tuesday, May 15, through Friday, May 18, and Monday, May 21, through Wednesday, May 23, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., when crews are scheduled to pothole to confirm underground utilities and to prepare the area for upcoming sewer work.

Sacramento to California: Night work is scheduled Friday, May 18, and Monday, May 21, through Friday, May 25, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., when crews are scheduled to pothole to confirm underground utilities for upcoming sewer work.

O'Farrell to Ellis: Monday, May 14, through Friday, May 18, and Monday, May 21, through Friday, May 25, crews are scheduled to work on sewer main installation. Due to sewer main installation, intensive noise and vibration is expected, and access to Larch Street from the west side of Van Ness Avenue will be closed temporarily. Crews are also scheduled to install in a joint-utility trench, and to pothole for upcoming work.

Golden Gate to McAllister: Monday, May 14, through Friday, May 18, crews are scheduled to install a joint-utility trench.

Night work is scheduled Monday, May 21, through Friday, May 25, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., when crews are expected to work on updating the emergency firefighting water system. Disruptive noise is expected.

Grove to Hayes: Night work is scheduled Monday, May 14, through Friday, May 18, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., when crews are scheduled to pothole to confirm underground utilities for upcoming sewer work.
