TO: San Francisco Taxi Drivers
Over the next few weeks, SFO will be conducting work on the remote taxi hold lot near San Bruno and McDonnell roads. The entrance will shift slightly, and the size of the lot will be reduced. The lot is still entered from the same access roads. Our team has conducted counts to make sure that the changes will still leave enough room for everyone in the lot.
Drivers are reminded that this lot is intended only for short stays, if you are nearing the top of the waitlist and do not have time to head to the City to get a local fare before it is your turn. It is not meant for long breaks. Therefore, the lot is equipped with portable restrooms but no other facilities. All drivers are reminded that it is possible to remain in the Taxi VQ from anywhere, including at home, at a place of worship, at an entertainment venue, at a coffee shop or while earning fares in the City.
