Two COVID-19 test sites to expand testing capacity 4.23.2020

Thursday, April 23, 2020

Dear Taxi Industry members:

Please be advised that the city has opened two COVID-19 test sites to expand testing capacity for essential workers and residents with barriers to healthcare.

Please visit the website Get tested: Find out about your COVID-19 testing options for more information.

The tests are powered by Color (link to the website), which is a high volume COVID-19 testing lab. Test results typically take 1 to 3 days. If you have symptoms, please wait for a negative test result before returning to work.

City Test San Francisco provides COVID-19 testing for essential workers and any resident with symptoms, with a focus on those who are uninsured or have barriers to healthcare.

You do not need a doctor's note to schedule a test, and you will not be charged for the test. (If you do have health insurance, they will ask you for that information when you schedule.)

This testing is available for any essential worker who has to leave their home to do their job and interact with the public, or cannot social distance on the job, or is over 60 years of age.
