Event Summary
Juneteenth is an annual event marking the abolition of slavery in the United States. A joint celebration of Juneteenth and Father's Day will be held at Gilman Park on Sunday, June 18, requiring street closures and a minor reroute of the 29 Sunset Route.
Street Closures
The following streets will be closed to traffic from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Gilman Avenue between Hawes Street and Bill Walsh Way
- Bill Walsh Way between Gilman Avenue and Ingerson Avenue
- Ingerson Avenue between Bill Walsh Way and Griffith Street.
Muni Reroute
The 29 Sunset will reroute via Hawes Street to Gilman Avenue, missing the regular route loop around the playground area.
