Hearing Request Review
After receipted of a completed Hearing Request Form and proof of payment or an approved low-income discount form, the following is conducted by Hearing staff:

Determine hearing eligibility

Schedule hearing

Mail hearing request eligibility results:

Notice of Ineligibility for rejected hearing requests.

Notice of Hearing for approved and scheduled hearings.

Important
Hearings shall be held within 90 days of the Hearing (Level 2 Protest) request.
Ineligible Hearing Request Examples

Initial Admin Review not completed

Late submission
-
Unpaid ticket(s) fine, or Unpaid ticket(s) fine without an approved low-income discount form

Requests for a second hearing or different Hearing Officer

Requests for supervisor or management review

Hearings scheduled more than 90 days after the request
Important
Ineligible hearing requests are subject to rejection and will not qualify to appeal to superior court under California Vehicle Code Section 22428.
