SFMTA Public Meetings, June 27 - July 11

Monday, June 27, 2016

Board of Directors Meeting: Tuesday June 28, 8:30 a.m. **Please note the earlier start time.**
City Hall, Room 400
Nearby Muni Routes: 5, 19, 21, 47, 49, F Market, Metro-Civic Center Station

The agenda for tomorrow’s Board of Directors meeting includes the authorization of a new Muni fare box contract through 2045. That's right, starting at the end of this year, Muni's 25-year-old fare boxes will be swapped out for modern machines that will print transfers with consistent expiration times, reduce waste, allow for data analysis and be more secure. The Board will vote on whether or not to recommend the contract to the Board of Supervisors.

Tomorrow's meeting will also include a presentation on the mayor’s Transportation 2030 Task Force. Created in 2013, the Transportation Task Force has developed a coordinated set of priorities and actionable recommendations for funding the city’s transportation infrastructure between now and the year 2030. This effort represents a first in a generation look at identifying new local investment to address the city’s transportation needs. For more information, please visit the Transportation 2030 website.

Our Board of Directors meetings are usually held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. The agendas are posted under “meetings” on the Board’s web page 72 hours in advance of the meeting. All regular meetings can be viewed on The City channel 78 or online at the SFGovTV2.
