Citizens Advisory Council (CAC) regular meeting, April 2, 2020
In accordance with the Public Health Recommendations (updated March 11, 2020) issued by the Department of Public Health, systemic and individual changes are being made to how people can protect themselves, their families, and community. Importantly, social distancing is recommended to reduce the occasions when large numbers of people come together and prevent potential exposure to the virus. Vulnerable populations, including individuals 60 years or older, those with diseases of the immune system, diabetes, lung disease, heart disease, and kidney disease, are recommended to stay home as much as possible and take precautions to safeguard their health, including not attending gatherings of 10 people or more unless it is essential.
As an essential function of government, the SFMTA Citizens' Advisory Council (CAC) will continue to conduct business. However, if you are attending a scheduled CAC meeting, additional protocols will be instituted to accommodate social distancing for members of the public. Consistent with DPH’s recommendations, the CAC Secretary, in coordination with the Sheriff’s Office, will also manage the capacity of the meeting room and accommodate distancing of an arm’s length between persons. Additional facilities may be available within One South Van Ness, depending on the volume of public attendance. Members of the public who are not able to attend meetings in person may alternatively submit comment and inquiries to the CAC by emailing CAC@sfmta.com. To ensure Council members have adequate opportunity to review your comment prior to their meeting, please send e-mails prior to 5pm on Wednesday, April 1st or call 415 646-2388.
