Islais Creek - Bayview Community Waterfront Resilience Meeting

Thursday, March 14, 2019 - 5:30pm
Bayview Opera House: 4705 3rd Street San Francisco, CA 94124

The Southeastern stretch of San Francisco's waterfront, including the Islais Creek and Bayview communities, is an area with known vulnerabilities to flooding. Potential seismic hazards and anticipated sea level rise will continue to increase the likelihood, frequency, and severity of flooding in the future. The Port of San Francisco, the Planning Department, and San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA), in partnership with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and other agencies, is studying flood risk along the waterfront, as one of several coordinated resilience projects.

Public input is needed to ensure that community assets are properly identified and protected, and that investments in protecting the waterfront reflect the priorities of the community, and a shared vision for the future.
