Plan for Crowds and Extra Security

Tap to Pay
All Bay Area transit, including BART, accepts contactless debit or credit cards and mobile payment methods such as Apple Pay and Google Pay for adult fare payment. No setup is required. Just Tap and Ride. Each person needs their own card or device. Clipper cards are also accepted. Muni connects to BART and Caltrain in San Francisco. From San Francisco, please use BART or to connect to VTA in Santa Clara. Muni does not offer direct service to San Francisco Bay Area Stadium (Levi's Stadium) in Santa Clara.
Muni’s 30 Stockton bus, 45 Union/Stockton bus and T Third St train are good options for pre-match service to BART or Caltrain.
Muni is operating additional bus shuttle service in San Francisco on days with evening FIFA World Cup 26™ SF Bay Area matches. Bus shuttles operate between Union Square, SoMa, BART and Caltrain at 4th and King streets, stopping at 45 Union/Stockton stops along the way.
Muni will also be providing supplemental service in San Francisco connecting Union Square and SoMa to BART and Caltrain. This ensures sustainable and reliable transportation to those traveling to the matches in Santa Clara and returning to San Francisco late at night.
