Muni’s Potrero Yard Modernization Project is replacing an obsolete, century-old bus yard at 2500 Mariposa Street with a modern, four-story bus maintenance and storage facility. Construction has now begun and will run through 2030. Construction is led by Webcor.

Now until 2030 :

  • Construction work hours are primarily between 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Overnight work hours are between 11:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. Overnight work is anticipated to be intermittent.
  • Weekend work may occur intermittently as needed.
  • Noise is expected during construction.
  • Expect temporary lane shifts around the project site bounded by Mariposa, Bryant, 17th, and Hampshire streets. Signage and cones will clearly mark and section off work zones. People traveling are advised to use caution and look out for changing traffic patterns. Temporary parking restrictions will be necessary in active work zones.

Thursday, Oct. 15 through Wednesday, Oct. 21:

  • Excavation work will be conducted on Mariposa St., between Hampshire & Bryant streets.
