Upper Market Street Safety Improvements set for Public Hearing on March 3, 2017

The Upper Market Safety Project proposals for widened sidewalks, the straightening of the crosswalk at Market and Dolores, bike lane "door zone" fixes and new bicycle waiting areas are scheduled to be heard at an SFMTA Engineering Public Hearing on Friday, March 3, 2017.  For a detailed overview of proposed improvements, please see the Upper Market March 3 Public Hearing Proposal here

These safety improvements will be constructed on Market Street from Duboce Street to Castro Street.  Please note that elements of the Upper Market Safety Project located east of Duboce Street (to Octavia Boulevard) are still being refined and will be heard separately at a future public hearing.  While no decisions will be made at this hearing, all comments presented orally and in writing will be documented and considered prior to requesting approval from the SFMTA Board of Directors at a future meeting (tentatively scheduled for April 18th).
