Balboa Park Station Improvements – Construction Moved to January

An earlier project timeline stated that we would begin construction tentatively in November of 2015.

However, we are holding off on issuing the Notice-to-Proceed until January of 2016 to coordinate the transit service impacts with the construction for the Green Light Rail Center Track Replacement Project and the Balboa Park Eastside Connection Project. Our goal is to complete all area improvements with minimal impacts to our transit patrons around the Balboa Park Station.  

The vision of the Balboa Park Area Plan is now being carried out through many individual projects, including the Balboa Park Station Area and Plaza Improvements. All involved city agencies meet regularly to discuss and coordinate the various projects, improvements and timelines.
