COVID-19 Muni Core Service Plan

Due to staffing shortages, the SFMTA has made some necessary service reductions during the order to shelter in place. Core Service bus routes are operating daily from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. A reduced Owl network is operating at an earlier start time, from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Please see SFMTA’s COVID-19 page for the latest service and citation information.

Small Business Support

The SFMTA brings your customers to you on Muni, keeps the streets moving and manages the curb space. We know small businesses have many questions right now and we’re here to help you find resources offered by the City and County of San Francisco.

Where do I find information on Small Business Loans and Grants?

Can I be evicted from my commercial property during the Shelter in Place order?

How do I safely get back to business in the “new normal?”

More information about these and opportunities such as deferring business taxes and licensing fees, accessing free COVID-19 testing for essential employees and resources for self-employed individuals can be found at oewd.org/covid19

The following 38/38R bus stops are planned to be temporarily relocated. These changes are part of work that is unrelated to the Geary Rapid Project.

  • Mondays - Sundays, March 16 – May 26, all day:
The inbound 38/38R Geary bus stop on O'Farrell Street at Van Ness Avenue will be temporarily relocated west towards Franklin Street while work related to the Van Ness Improvement Project is performed.
