Utility work on the Geary Rapid Project, in coordination with San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, is officially complete! Crews connected properties’ water service to the new water main at the last remaining location at Geary and Kearny last month. In total, 1.5 miles of new sewer and almost 3 miles of upgraded water mains were installed along Geary, replacing the previous 100-year-old infrastructure.

Surface improvements managed by San Francisco Public Works are still underway, including utility trench restoration and repaving. Red transit lane treatments are also being installed.

The following two-week construction forecast is subject to change due to weather delays or unexpected field conditions.
