Streets will be closed and Muni will reroute off of Mission for Sunday Streets Excelsior. Sunday Streets is an open streets event put on as a joint project between SFMTA and Livable City to promote active lifestyles and bicycle and pedestrian activities. These events close streets to automobile traffic and turn them over for bicycle and pedestrian activities. The event will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Street Closures

These streets will be closed to automobiles from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.:

  • Mission, between Avalon and Geneva
  • Cotter, between Mission and Alemany
  • Francis, between Mission and Alemany
  • Santa Rosa, between Mission and Alemany
  • Onondaga, between Mission and Alemany
  • Seneca, between Mission and Alemany
  • Ocean, between Persia and Mission

Muni Reroutes

These Muni reroutes will be begin at 9:30 a.m. until the event is clear, approximately 4:30 p.m:

  • The 14 Mission and 14R Mission Rapid will reroute onto Alemany Blvd between Geneva and Silver avenues.
  • The 49 Van Ness/Mission will reroute onto Alemany Blvd between Ocean and Silver avenues.
  • The 52 Excelsior will reroute onto London Street between Brazil and Avalon avenues.

Note: The 29 Sunset may experience delays as it crosses the event area.
