Sunset Neighborways - Project Update - May 2023
Design outreach has started!
The project team is kicking off the design outreach phase for the Sunset Neighborways project in the month of May 2023 and it is expected to last through the end of June 2023. During this phase of the project, our team will be sharing the concept designs for the proposed Sunset Neighborways and soliciting community feedback. Please visit our design outreach hub to learn more about the project, see the concept designs, and learn how you can provide feedback on the proposal.
Following this outreach phase, the project team will review the feedback and, if necessary, revise the proposal and concept designs. Afterwards the proposal will go through the approvals process, which involves a public hearing and that is tentatively planned for fall 2023.
Currently, the project team is focusing their efforts on designing and delivering five of the eight proposed Neighborways: 34th Avenue, 41st Avenue, Kirkham Street, Ortega Street, and Vicente Street. The remaining three proposed Neighborways, 28th Avenue, 47th Avenue, and Rivera Street, will be explored at a later time.
